Farmer Boy

Farmer Boy was first published in 1933 and is the second book in the popular Little House series. Unlike most of the Little House books that focus on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s upbringing on the American frontier, Farmer Boy centers on Almanzo Wilder’s childhood growing up in a prosperous farming family near Malone, New York. The story highlights daily life on a farm, responsibilities, family traditions, and Almanzo’s personal growth.
