Great Expectations
The narrative begins with Pip's encounter with an escaped convict, Abel Magwitch, in a graveyard. This meeting sets off a chain of events that profoundly impacts Pip's life. He is raised by his sister and her husband, Joe Gargery, a blacksmith. Pip's life changes when he is invited to the home of the eccentric Miss Havisham, where he meets her beautiful but cold-hearted ward, Estella. Pip falls in love with Estella and becomes increasingly ashamed of his humble origins, aspiring to become a gentleman to win her affection.
As the story unfolds, Pip learns that wealth and social status do not guarantee happiness or moral integrity. The novel explores Pip's journey of self-discovery, his relationships with various characters, and the eventual realization of what truly matters in life
