THE BLACK STALLION
Alec Ramsay, returning home from India, boards a ship called the Drake. Onboard, he encounters a wild black stallion, later simply known as the Black. Unfortunately, the ship is caught in a violent storm and sinks, leaving Alec and the Black as the sole survivors. They wash ashore on an uninhabited island where they must learn to rely on each other for survival. As they face the challenges of their new environment, Alec gradually gains the stallion's trust, showcasing the themes of friendship and resilience.
After several weeks on the island, Alec and the Black are rescued by a passing ship. Returning to New York City, Alec is determined to keep the Black, against the initial skepticism of his parents. Subsequently, the horse begins its life in Alec's neighborhood alongside a retired jockey named Henry Dailey, who helps train the Black for races.
