Witnesses Christ
Biblical Witnesses of Christ
The primary witnesses of Jesus Christ mentioned in the Bible are His apostles and disciples, who closely followed Him, learned from His teachings, and witnessed His miracles and resurrection. Notable individuals include:
The Twelve Apostles: Peter, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Thomas, James the Less, Simon the Zealot, Thaddaeus (Jude), and Judas Iscariot (later replaced by Matthias). These apostles were eyewitnesses to Christ’s ministry and were commissioned to spread His message.
Mary Magdalene and other women disciples: They were among the first to witness His crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection appearances. Mary Magdalene, in particular, is highlighted as the first to see the risen Christ.
Other followers and crowds: Many people witnessed Jesus' sermons, miracles (like healing the sick and raising the dead), and His final moments on the cross. The crowds and various individuals who encountered Jesus play a role as witnesses in the Gospel narratives.
